The BeeHive, located just behind Smiths in White Rock, will be giving out holiday desserts, cookies and candy to the seniors of the community. We isolate now so when we gather again no one will be missing, Operations Manager Danyell Sena said. We wanted to give back to seniors in the local area, we know our seniors are taken care of and loved with great food and desserts, we just wanted to share with some other seniors, who may not have the means or ability to enjoy the holidays as our seniors do! 聽The happy, healthy residents of the BeeHive are doing great, as they have adjusted through the pandemic. The staff keeps families updated with activities and pictures they share on their Facebook page. Stephanie Garcia Richard at the Club meeting.Photo byCamille DicksonRotary Club News os Alamos High School junior Camryn Dickson was honored recently by the Rotary Club ofLos Alamos as a Distinguished Student of Service.Dickson is the daughter Camille and CarlDickson.Each school year, the Rotary Club of Los Alamos selects nine high school juniors to honor asa Distinguished Student of Service.Juniors are stanley termos recognized i stanley cup n hopes of ins stanley website piring their interestin Rotary programs that fall during the summer following junior year.Students are nominatedby their teachers and chosen on the basis of their academic achievement, extra-curricularactivities, and, in particular, their service to the community.Dickson, who has made service part of her life with involvement in several communityservices, activities and athletics, has been a member of the National Honor Society for threeconsecutive years. She is a member of Link Crew, a high school organization that helpsincoming freshmen successfully acclimate to high school. She is also a member of the VarsityGirls soccer team and has helped raise money with the team for Kick for the Cure, which hasdonated to Susan Komen Breast Cancer Research for several years. In the fall of 2015,Dickson and her JV soccer teammates successfully raised several hundred dollars toward thepurchase of soccer cleats and vaccinations for underprivileged children |
